LLong before there was an El Chileno food truck, there was a dream.

Our story begins along Chile’s Pacific coast; in Viña del Mar, where our mother was born, and Valparaíso, where our father was born. It was there that our parents came together and began building a family. They did not have much, but they had love, faith, and a hope for something greater.

When our mother was pregnant with their fourth child, our parents made one of the hardest decisions of their lives. Behind that decision was a silver lining: the hope of creating a better future for their children.

Our father took what little he had and left for New York in search of opportunity. In his pockets, he carried photographs and memories of the wife and children he was leaving behind. The plan was simple, but the journey would not be; spend five years building a life that he could one day bring his family together again.

What followed was a long journey shaped by sacrifice, faith, and the belief that hard work could open doors for the next generation.

Today, that same spirit lives on through El Chileno. The food we serve is more than a menu—it is our connection to home. Every churrasco and lomito we make honors where we come from, the sacrifices that brought us here, and the community that has welcomed our family.
